2 Min Training: How to get a prospect to call you back

One of the hardest parts of the sales process is turning that cold call, voicemail or initial email into a conversation.


Well, some of our WorkCompare.com power users showed us a great way to get a prospect to call back. What’s the trick? Offer the buyer a pre-quote estimate!


Business owners make lots of buying decisions. Raw materials. Laptop computers. Credit card interest rates. And, every informed buying decision comes from understanding two things:

  1. How much does it cost?

  2. Where can I get it?


This is exactly what a pre-quote estimate helps you figure out for a work comp policy. So, why not offer an estimate to your prospect?


In this video we walk through three templates you can use in your business development:




The templates below are specifically for the initial contact with a prospect. They are carefully designed to be easy to use, require no prep work, and get your prospects to respond quickly. The formula for all three is the same:


  • Make the message brief, friendly, and personal

  • Offer something of value - in this case, a pre-quote estimate

  • Keep the call to action simple: Would you like a report for your business?

  • Comments: After you get a response ask for more info (Send me your dec page.) or set a meeting (Can I drop off the report Thursday?).
